35th Anniversary Visit

Amish Country Tour

September 13-14, 2001

A tour of Amish Country took the tour to Nappanee and Shipshewana, Indiana. This part of the Mennonite religion cling to old ways such as the horse-drawn carriages seen in the background.

During the stay at "Amish Acres" in Nappanee, Bryan and Gaynor George celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Amish Acres includes a round barn theater.

The cast at the Amish Acres barn theater put on a very entertaining and traditional American musical, "Damn Yankees".

The carriages symbolize the cultural differences.

Even the road signs have to be modified.
